The bay of Gramata

Gramata Bay or as it is called by the locals, Grama Bay is located at the foot of the western slope of Karaburuni. In an uninhabited area, which can be reached mainly from the sea. Alternatively, the bay can be visited through hiking tours either starting from Llogara National Park or from the Coast. The bay has the status of a Natural Monument as well as a Cultural Monument since has been used as a quarry since ancient times as well as the presence of various inscriptions that have been carved on the steep cliffs by the crews of the ships that have passed there.   The inscriptions date from c. III BC to the Middle Ages.

DAFINA BAY

Dafina Bay is one of the most special natural beauties that the Karaburun peninsula offers. In the multitude of sea bays that this peninsula has, such as Dafina bay, Anglezi bay, Haxhi Aliu cave, Ariu bay, etc., Karaburuni becomes a very attractive place on the coastline and the most unexplored. These beautiful places and bays can be visited through boat trips. Undiscovered and unexposed places are still found in Albanian tourism. A tourist who explored Dafinë Bay during the weekend says about this experience that, “you don’t have to travel far to visit this wonderful place called Dafinë Bay which is located in the western part of the Karaburun Nature Park.

SKALOMA BAY

The purest and most beautiful bay in Alania. 

Untrodden for many years due to the slightly wild terrain that surrounds this bay.

BRISTANI BAY

Brisan Bay is located on the Karaburun peninsula on the island of Vlore. Bristan Bay, also known as Bear Bay, is a natural wonder. Picturesque landscapes, seaside rocks, typical white sandy beaches and water so clear you can see everything beyond are just some of the special features.

This small bay is still one of Karaburun’s loneliest beaches, so it is only visited by vacationers who want to enjoy the freshness of the blue sea and the warm sunshine in total relaxation.

HAXHI ALI CAVE

The cave of Haxhi Ali is otherwise called the Illyrian cave. It has the shape of a dome with a length of 30m, a maximum height of 18m, a width of 12m and a depth of 10m. Sweet waters flow from the bottom of the cave. It is said that a prominent Ulqinan warrior and sailor named Haxhi Ali took refuge with his son in this cave. From there they attacked sea pirates and, cooperating with shepherds, protected merchants and travelers who passed through those parts. It is located on the Karaburun peninsula near the Cape of Gjuhëza. The most efficient way to visit this country is by boat.
